Suzumiya Haruhi is a strange girl who seeks abnormal things in the world, such as espers, aliens and time travelers. She meets Kyon, the only person she is willing to communicate with. With him, she creates the SOS Brigade, and recruits 3 new members. Little does she know that 1 of the new members is a time traveler, the other an esper and the third an alien.

Ok if you watch the first ep and say to yourself, "WTF???", don't stop watching the series. Watch the second ep then come back to the first. The story likes to jump around a lot (e.g. one ep is set a month after the last ep, but the next ep is set 2 weeks before) so it may be hard to tell what's going on. However, it is quite a cheerful series - you should watch.
